A QR code for party photos
Where to put a photo QR at a house party, a birthday, or a reception, and the one sentence that gets people to send.

A QR code for party photos is how the shots leave phones before everyone goes home. At a house, in a rented room, or in a yard, the idea stays the same: one link, several cards, one sentence at the right moment.
The shape of the party changes the spots. It does not change the gesture.
Where to put it, room by room
At home, the entrance empties in two minutes. People settle in the kitchen, by the fridge, or around the table. Put a card in those spots, not only on the door.
In a hall, the tables and the bar see more people than a hallway. A sign at eye height near the entrance still helps, for anyone who arrives late and misses the announcement.
Outside, wind and dim light matter. A card that is too light blows away. A QR in a dark corner will not scan. Light the piece, or put it near a lamp that is already on.
For a birthday, you do not need an extra game. The QR is not a hosted activity. It is the shared drawer for photos people take anyway.
The sentence, and the moment
Wait until phones are out. That is often after the first few minutes, when someone is already photographing the cake, the table, or the arrivals.
Say: "Scan the QR to add your photos to the gallery. Nothing to install."
If you have a screen, the live wall shows that an upload really appears. Without a screen, open the gallery on your phone and show a photo that already arrived. A visible result beats a second explanation.
Before, during, the next day
- Test on an iPhone and an Android. Send a photo and, if you want, a short video.
- Print more than one piece. Keep a spare.
- During the party, leave the name optional. A guestbook message can sit beside the upload, without blocking it.
- The next day, send the same link again. Komos also emails you that day so you remember.
The trial covers 15 media and a single guest who uploads. A party passes that quickly. Unlocking is 85 CAD, once, and the printed link does not change. The ZIP of the originals lets you keep everything, not only an online preview.
You can close uploads once the next day's wave is done. People who still want to look keep the gallery.
What not to do
- Create a messaging group as the only plan, then add a QR without saying which one to use.
- Announce the QR while coats and gifts have everyone's attention.
- Print one small square on the fridge, in the shade.
- Forget the charger if you meant to show the gallery on a screen.
In summary
For a party, the photo QR goes where people linger, with a short sentence and the same link the next day. The rest is already on the phones.
