Putting the QR code on the tables is a good start, but it's not enough.
Taking a photo is a reflex, but sending it is an extra step that people often forget while they are talking or dancing.
To get more photos and videos, here are our recommendations.
Before the evening
Print the code as soon as it is active
The QR code stays the same from the first test to the end of the evening, so print it the week before. A card placed on an empty table, once everyone is on the dance floor, is useless.
Test the code on site
Scan it yourself, at two metres, with the room wifi then with your phone network, especially if the room is in the basement.
On arrival
Put a sign at the entrance
It is the first thing your guests see. Use a large format, at least 11 × 17 in, place it at eye level and make sure it is well lit.
Display the code on every table
Use a smaller format and place the signs before people sit down, not behind the centrepiece. It works during the meal, but after, nobody looks at the tables anymore.
Do not forget the bar, the buffet and the coat check
In a lineup, everyone already has their phone in hand. Put a sign at every place where people wait.
During the evening
Remind people to scan the code when the photos are being taken
During the cocktail, a mention on the mic is likely to be forgotten by the first slow dance. To make sure everyone takes part, repeat the same sentence at the key moments when phones come out: the group photo, the end of the speech, the cake, and one last time before the guests leave.
After the evening
The next day counts as much as the evening
It is very likely that some people still have photos on their phone. Share the guest link by email or text in the family or guest group. You will find it in the Share tab of your host space.
Your guests take the best photos, we gather them for you.
Try for freeNo card. Up to 15 photos or videos. The trial never becomes paid on its own.
